JW Marriot Hotel Singapore South Beach - A Designer Luxury Hotel with amazing pools

JW Marriot Hotel South Beach Singapore is touted as Singapore's most exciting luxury designer hotel. It is located just opposite Suntec City and is very convenient. It offers state-of-the art accommodation because it is designed by French designer, Philippe Starck. It was officially rebranded on 15 December 2016.

Flow 18 - Indoor Pool

Breathtaking view

The most memorable experience was the swimming in the pools. Yes, you heard me. Not one pool, but two gorgeous pools. I could feel all my troubles easing away as I immersed myself in the water and beheld the breathtaking sights in front of me. The indoor infinity pool was located at Level 18. The entire level was named Flow 18. The social space at Flow 18 sets the mood for relaxation as it provided many lounge areas and facilities for guests to simply have fun. For this reason, I highly recommend this hotel for a staycation.

Flow 18 - Indoor Jacuzzi

Jacuzzi

I love the touch of art even in the pool area. There are chairs placed at the shallow end of the pool, allowing guests to just have the option of sitting and catching up while enjoying the scenery in the pool. There is also a jacuzzi area for guests to relax their tensed muscles from the many weeks of toiling in Singapore.

Level 6 - Outdoor pool

Recline and relax!

The pool at Level 6 is not as popular as the one at Level 18. It has its own unique charm as it has reclining chairs at the shallow end of the pool for me to just stare at the vast blue sky and to get a healthy glow.

Chill by the pool

I really love the pockets of social spaces everywhere in the hotel for friends and families to huddle or just to stare at the water and for the soul to be still.

Facilities at Flow 18

Table Pool, Table Soccer and Table Tennis

Other than a beautiful pool, Flow 18 also has facilities such as a huge gym, pool table, table soccer and even table tennis! It was so heartwarming to see old grandpa playing pool with his adult son and young dad playing table soccer with young son. Couples also played table tennis. There were also many comfy chairs and even rocking chairs for guests to just CHILL. Everyone was in a holiday mood!

Accommodation

Double Room with Club Benefits

I booked the Club Room because I have a soft spot for Club Room access. I tried it once in Bangkok, of course for half the price, and I was hooked. Club Room access comes with free flow afternoon tea, free flow of food and cocktails in the evening and buffet breakfast in the Executive Lounge.

I love the room because it has a bathtub that could sit two adults with legs stretched out and not many bathtubs in hotels are that big. Tsk Tsk...  Bath salts and a scrub were provided. I had a great time soaking in the tub. The toilet also has a separate rain shower.

Excellent bathing facilities

The surprising part about the room was the lovely toilet. It reminded me of the toilets in Tokyo but of course, this is a notch higher. The toilet bowl cover opens and closes automatically. How cute! It also has a remote control which controls the temperature of the heated toilet seat and water.

The television was sufficiently big and guess what, the blinds and curtains could be controlled via switches. I have a sensitive nose and this is a huge plus for me. I really dislike drawing dusty curtains. The hotel also provides complimentary mineral water and an assortment of TWG tea.

Executive Lounge

The Executive Lounge is quite huge and has different types of sitting areas for guests. There are seats enclosed in a bright yellow and pink sections and they are very popular for some reason. For the cocktail drinkers, there is a bar area whereby you can even make your own free flow cocktails from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. My favourite section was the huge and comfy sofas area.

Creative dining areas

Free flow Afternoon Tea Break

Delicious sandwiches

The sandwiches were delicious and so were the sweets. I enjoyed the TWG tea best of all. The coffee machine is from WMF and I also enjoyed the robustness of the coffee. If you are not a caffein addict, you can always grab a bottle of freshly squeezed juice.

Free Flow of food and Evening Cocktails

Assortment of food

For club food, this is by far, the most substantial because I did not expect them to serve hot mains such as the noodles section, dim sum and beef burgers. This could definitely be your dinner. There is a free flow of wine, beers and cocktails from 5.30pm to 9.30pm.

Buffet Breakfast

A variety of breakfast items

The buffet breakfast was awesome as it served perfectly cooked eggs, fresh bread, delicious sausages, bee hoon, porridge, cereals and hot noodles. The yoghurt was of premium quality and I also had a bottle of freshly squeezed juice.

Catch the Fireworks!

View from room

I got a clear view of the fireworks from my room. The best view could be seen from Flow 18. JW Marriot South Beach is definitely a hotel to consider booking if you wish to catch fireworks of the NDP rehearsals every year.

I have saved the best for the last. I was mesmerised by the lift. The lift had a music that seemed to come out from an Avatar movie and the playful use of lighting created different images on the walls. I had an awesome time and I really missed my staycation.

It would make my day if you click Like on my Facebook Page and share this post with your friends who enjoy staycations.
