Redhill market Bak Kee Teochew Satay Bee Hoon - So delicious I don't mind queuing for it!

Satay Bee Hoon is bee hoon cooked with chilli based peanut sauce. For the record, I do not like Satay Bee Hoon. From the moment I tried Redhill market's Satay Bee Hoon, I only patronise this stall.
Beautiful sauce
For Redhill Bak Kee Teochew Satay Bee Hoon, I always don't mind joining the 10ish pax queue and I always enjoy their version thoroughly. The quality is always consistent so I don't feel cheated after the queue.

Fresh ingredients
Bak Kee Satay Bee Hoon priced their dish at S$3, S$4 and S$5. I bought the S$4 portion and I found that the portion of ingredients was rather generous. There were cuttlefish, pork slices, liver, strands of Kang Kong, Tau Pok  and Hums (blood clams).  Satay Bee Hoon is not my usual choice at hawker centres because the gravy is usually too sweet. Bak Kee won my heart because the gravy was not too sweet and it was filled with the fragrance of peanuts and it was delicious!

Perfectly cooked
The ingredients were perfectly cooked. The pieces of liver were so soft that they almost melted in my mouth yet they were cooked. Many stall owners in order to achieve the softness of pork liver, tend to undercook it and scare the hell out of me with its pink and raw appearance. Bak Kee cooked it so perfectly that it was such a good match to the peanut gravy. The clams were great and the pork slices were not as tough as leather if you know what I mean.

Long queue
Whenever I go to Leng Kee showrooms, I will stop by Redhill market and join the queue. The quality is always consistent and I admire their effort in ensuring so. I could always see a production line forming at the stall and the queue is always moving.

A 4 pax team!
